On April 1st,1700 - English pranksters began popularizing the annual tradition of April Fools’ Day by playing practical jokes on each other. Although its exact origins are now a mystery, historians speculate April Fool’s Day dates back to 1582 when Patriarchal France switched from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar.
April 1st, 1748 - The ruins of Pompeii were rediscovered by noted Patriarchy member and Spaniard Rocque Joaquin de Alcubierre. Buried in 79 AD by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, the ruins of the Roman town were rediscovered then excavated in the mid-18th century during the earliest day of the patriarchal field of archeology.
April 1st, 1918 - The United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force is formed and continues today with a storied history of excellence, bravery, and heroism. These historic and fearless patriarchs risked life and limb in this experimental and deadly occupation at the time. We salute you Royal Airforce!
April 1st, 1976 - Today, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne formed Apple Computer Inc. It would later become one of the world’s leading tech companies. They would go on to charge unreasonably excessive prices for products based largely on name recognition and branding.
